There are numerous types of medical equipment from walkers to scooter to help keep seniors independent and mobile. Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance companies usually pay for equipment and supplies that are medically necessary. A physicians order is required. Sometimes referred to as Durable Medical Equipment. On of the most useful walkers has front wheels, brakes, a seat and a basket. They are now lightweight to easily put into a car. Be careful with scooters because they can easily go faster than anticipated and cause an accident. Lift chairs can also be hazards and cause them to fall when getting out of them.Share:
