Moving in with You
One way to ensure that you're loved one's ok is to move them into your home so that you can look after them. That sounds easy enough but there are things you might want to consider like is there a first floor bathroom and bedroom and how will they adjust to living with a busy family again. Many seniors are used to a routine like eating dinner at 5:00 and going to bed at 8:00 and are not used to being around alot of activity. If you're working all day then they are still home alone without much socialization with their peers. So you ask your teenaged kids to be quiet and respect grandma's needs but is that really fair to them? Seniors also tend to worry about all that the young kids are doing. You suddenly feel guilty that you and your husband are going out for the evening. Before you know it everyone is walking on eggshells.
