Prescription Assistance
Medicare D is the federal prescription insurance program. Premium and co-pay assistance is available for low income seniors. Since most Medicare D policies have an uncovered amount prescription assistance programs are available through many sources. To prevect seniors from taking incorrect doses of medications, prescriptions can be prepackaged for day and time through some pharmacies. Medication management systems are also available for seniors who don't always remember to take their medications. Some will alert a designated person if they miss a dose and put the untaken dose in safe keeping. Some local pharmacies deliver and there are pharmacies that will prepackage daily dosing.
