Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering helps give you a sense of purpose and belonging which is often missing once you retire. It also helps you remain healthy by increasing your socialization and keeping you active. Do something you always wanted to do or help others. Many seniors that are unable to get out and manage everything themselves are assisted by healthy active seniors who volunteer. Hospice companies, Meals on Wheels, libraries and all county Senior Services (see Senior Centers) who provide Respite, Homemaker and Transportation services are always looking for volunteers.
